How to list many cards at once
Selling a whole binder one card at a time takes an evening. With a spreadsheet, the review screen and the batch tools it takes minutes. This is how each of them works.

CardTrading has three ways to put many cards on sale at once: upload a CSV file made from a spreadsheet, list cards straight from your portfolio, and change many listings together once they are up. All three follow the same rules as a single listing, and nothing goes live until you confirm it.
1. Fill in the template
Download the template from Bulk upload and open it in any spreadsheet (Excel, Numbers, Google Sheets, LibreOffice). Keep the header row and write one row per card version: if you have three Near Mint copies and one Lightly Played copy of the same card, that is two rows.

The set and number are the surest way to find the exact card. The name alone works too, but a name printed in many sets (a Lightning Bolt, an Energy card) will ask you to pick the set on the review screen.
Spreadsheets in Europe often save files with semicolons and a decimal comma. Both are fine: "12,50" is read as €12.50.
2. Choose how to price
The price column accepts three kinds of value:
- A price, such as
12.50: that is the asking price for each copy. - Empty: the market price of that condition. It is the same reference you see on each card page, adjusted for condition, foil and grading.
- A percentage, such as
-5%or+10%: the market price of that condition, lowered or raised by that much.
Some versions have no market price of their own, such as a foil or a graded slab we have no price for yet. Those rows ask you for a price before they can be published. See how to price your cards for how to choose a price.
3. Review the matches
After the upload, every row is matched to the catalogue. It takes a few seconds for a few hundred rows, and the page shows the progress. Then each row gets a colour:
- Green (ready): one card, no doubt. It will be published as it is.
- Yellow (pick the card): several cards could be meant, for example the regular print and an alternate art with the same number, or a name printed in several sets. Pick the right one from the pictures; the first is our best guess.
- Red (fix or discard): something is missing or wrong, such as an unknown condition or a card we could not find. Fix the cell on the screen, search for the card by hand, or discard the row.
Nothing is guessed silently: an alternate art listed as the regular card would be a wrong listing, so doubtful rows always wait for you.
4. Check the summary and publish
At the bottom of the review screen, the summary shows how many listings and cards will be published, their total value, and roughly what you would receive after the 4.5% seller fee (see fees). Before you publish you can also:
- publish the listings active, or paused to check them first and activate them later;
- set a shipping price for each listing;
- tick Also add to my portfolio, to add the cards to your portfolio and link each listing to its position.
The listings are then created in the background. You can leave the page: you get a notification when it is done, with any row that could not be listed and why.
5. List from your portfolio
If your cards are already in your portfolio, you do not need a file. On the portfolio page, choose Select to list, tick the positions (or select all, after filtering by game), and choose List selected. Each position is listed with the units not already on sale, at its market price, its market price plus or minus a percentage, or one fixed price, and the listing stays linked to the position.
6. Manage many listings at once
On My listings, filter by game, set, status or condition, select the listings you want, and use the bar at the bottom:
- Change price: a fixed price, the current price plus or minus a percentage, or the current market price of each listing (plus or minus a percentage). The bar shows the total before and after.
- Pause and Reactivate: paused listings are hidden from buyers until you reactivate them.
- Withdraw: the listings leave the marketplace.
Export CSV downloads your listings in the same format as the template, so you can edit them in a spreadsheet and keep a copy.
